Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare - Album Cover Analysis

This album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' was released by Arctic monkeys on the 18th April 2007. On the front of this magazine is a picture of a row of typical British terraced houses, some windows you can see the inside of. At the top right is 'Arctic Monkeys' 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'
The image of the houses was taken at eye level view, almost as if you're standing there looking at the house yourself. It's very low key lighting, a very dark, dull day, gives off a very boring vibe. However, 3 of the windows you can see inside, they are full of numerous different colours, which brings a bit life and entertainment to the album cover. This maybe suggests that the Arctic Monkeys new album are bringing entertainment and joy to the lives of boring and dull old Britain.
In this album cover, Britain is being represented. It's showing it as very dull and boring, this is shown thorough the usage of colour and lighting, they are both very dull and dark. This is very a negative representation of Britain.
The socio-economic group for this album is a very wide range, probably from B under, mainly because this isn't really the kind of thing you would get very high class people listening to, this is also shown because the cover is showing attached houses, and if you had a lot of money, you wouldn't really buy a house that was also attached to yours. The gender for this is both male and female, and the age is from around 14 - 40.
